Marconi de Morais
 

 
Marconi was born in Rio de Janeiro and began his musical studies at the age of 4 studying flute, violin, piano and choir singing. Early in his career, he was performing as a pianist & keyboard player and working as a musical director for such singers as Claudia Vieira, Marco Antonini, Nila Branco and Joao Marcelo. In 1994 he began to focus on production, musical direction and arrangement. producing & directing numerous artists & bands. He also entered the field of theater and cinema soundtracks writing & producing score for a number of Brazilian productions.
 
In 2003 Marconi joined "The Not Yet Famous Blues Band" as a musical producer & keyboard player and performed live at the After Party Celebration of the 6th Latin Grammy Awards.
 
In 2006 he moved to Los Angeles bringing with him his first solo CD "Pure Bossa", recorded as a Brazilian Bossa Nova Jazz Trio with such classical songs as Garota de Ipanema, Desafinado, Wave, Corcovado and others. Living in LA ever since, he has continued his work as a producer on various projects. He recorded the soundtrack to the movie "Looking for Romeo" (2007) by director Arthur K, for which he performed on the main theme, created additional soundscore, mixed, and mastered. He started working with Kapa Music artists Christos Kedras and Martin East, recording keys, co-producing, mixing, and mastering, and also with Grecco Buratto as a co-producer on his first solo CD. He is also currently completing his second CD, to be released later this year.
